The Hockey NSW Futures Academy, an initiative designed to propel our sport towards excellence and innovation on the path to 2032.

Phase 1 of the HNSW Futures Academy delivered for the NWS/NSB U18, 16 and 14 athletes is an 11-week association run phase which comprises of a minimum of three hours of development: two on-field and one-off field each week.

On-field Development

The HNSW program designed by Brent Livermore will be delivered by coaches identified and engaged by the associations with the Coach Mentor (Larry McIntosh) supporting positive session outcomes and coach development.

The three age groups will have an age group talent lead coach, talent/foundation coaches and specialist coaches to support the weekly on-field sessions run at Pennant Hills.

U14: 5:30-7:30 Tuesdays

U16: 5:30 – 7:30 Thursdays

U18/21: 7:30- 9:30 Thursdays

Off field Development

The off-field development will be delivered as one-off weekly sessions facilitated by experts in their field and will aim at mental, physical, and emotional growth of the athletes. The sessions will predominantly be run on Monday evenings primarily at Narrabeen Hockey House.

Strength & Conditioning

Regular Strength & Conditioning sessions will be held on Sunday Mornings at Narrabeen Sports Academy

The Academy will commence with a welcome presentation and BBQ on Monday the 9^th of October at 6pm at Sydney Academy of Sport Narrabeen
