NWSHA Women’s Masters Information
Masters competitions are available for players 34 years and over.
(In 2023 players born 1986 or years prior).
North West Sydney Hockey Association enters Women’s Masters Teams in the Sydney Women’s Hockey League (SWHL) competition and at the Hockey NSW Women’s Masters State Championships.
In 2023 North West Sydney Masters' will be entering 6 teams into the SWHL Master's Competition
1 x Division 1 (Plays Wednesday Night Fortnightly) Starts 5th April
1 X Division 2 (Plays Wednesday Night Fortnightly) Starts 5th April
2 x Division 3 (Plays Monday Night Weekly) Starts 1st May
2 x Division 4 (Plays Monday Night Weekly) Starts 1st May
If you would like to be considered for a team you will be required to attend at least 1 trial date.
We have made the decision to nominate only 1 team in division 2 this year based on the outcomes of the previous years in both divisions 2 & 3.
Given limited places in division 1 and 2 anyone not able to attend trials will need to contact the master's committee to advise and will be considered on a case by cases basis.
Trils will be held at Ryde Hockey Centre
Division 1 & 2 trials will take place on Friday 3rd February 7pm - 9pm
Division 3 & 4 trials will take place on Friday 17th February 7pm - 9pm
An additional trial date for all players will be Friday 3rd March 7pm - 9pm, this may be split into 2 sessions for the 1/2 and 3/4 further details will follow closer to the date.
We would really love to have some people join the committe in 2023 to help spread the load of jobs that need to be done.
The tasks are not onerous if we can spread the load. Please consider joining the committee to help with finding selectors, finding umpires, organising teams for State Championships (field and indoor), booking fields for trials and trainings and representing NWSHA at SWHL meetings.
